New Bedford, MA (March 2008) — Cornell Dubilier announces a new series of HID lighting capacitors in a dry construction. Type DL capacitors are rated for 60,000 hr life at 100°C and are targeted for application in high intensity discharge lighting fixtures.
Type DL capacitors are packaged in cylindrical plastic cases ranging from 30mm to 50mm in diameter and 55mm to 117mm in length. Cataloged capacitance values range from 5µF to 75µF with a voltage range from 120 to 400 Vac, typical of HID lighting industry requirements. OEM prices start at $1 with parts available from stock to 8 weeks after receipt of order.
